My Lady Of The Night
1936-1938
Manifesting from the dark
A beautiful creature of the night
Sending another off with her best regards,
She awaits for another to impart
Fashioning an innocent face,
And covered in that fine lace,
The red haired lady lures me to a secluded place
Seventeen at best,
She is a young disgrace
Her lips stained red
She lays back on my bed,
Lighting herself another cigarette
So absent is the ability to feel that sense of regret
And to sell oneself so cheaply
Still, I fall into her deeply
My sweet incubus, may I allow you to complete me?
Let me hold you close
Bestow me your woes
You don’t have to wear those clothes
We can make this our home
I ask her of her morales
She does not distinguish wrong from right
A long bred lady of the night
But you linger here in my sights
Up even before the sun
My heart is left astrung
My lady in red, why must we depart?
You come and go as you please
You lead a life that is empty
A soul awaiting to be cleaned
Let me welcome you to the gentry
Hold you down and keep you to myself
I won’t let you go
You now play the main role in my show
A relentless ego
She takes my love like a hard blow
Can’t seem to stop the blood flow
She struggles and she coughs
Sputters and grips the cross
Clean her up nice with a wet cloth
Eyes like frost,
I’d like to see her rot
Need to bring this to a stop,
But now I’m back on top,
And when I get off,
Like a ripened moth,
She sets off,
Not considering the cost
Take her by the wrist
Contain that painful grip until she ceases to resist
Now watch as her eyes drift
My dove, my darling, my sweet lady in red
My poor girl, you look starving
But I cannot help it
Your eyes pull at my heartstrings
Ah, so very, very charming
A hostage of my love
We’ll push and shove,
And she’ll pray to the above
But is it enough?
She calls my bluff
So her face hits the rug, and all her fluids collect around me
I can’t deny the buzz
We forget all the distrust
No room to discuss
I’m gonna watch you rust and disconnect from all else around you
My prime suspect
I will dissect you like a wounded insect
Unaccepting of the way you project that blatant disrespect
You must be punished
A rifle as my accomplice
We break an estranged promise
And drive it through an orifice
Her shrieks being the genesis of such divine violence
Providing her with God’s established services
And only he as an eyewitness,
My love slips into paralysis
